In 2005, Nicole starred as Susan Waverly in the new hit holiday musical Irving Berlin's White Christmas at the Orpheum Theatre in San Francisco. Based on the classic film of the same title, the show was directed by Walter Bobbie (Chicago, Sweet Charity) with choreography by Rand Skinner (42nd Street, State Fair) and musical direction by Rob Berman (Pajama Game). The show featured a new book by David Ives (Wonderful Town) and additional songs by Irving Berlin that are not found in the movie.
